Memento Mori: Mexico City is a live recording of over two hours of music from Depeche Mode’s three sold out concerts in September 2023 at the legendary Foro Sol Stadium in Mexico City, plus four previously unreleased studio recordings from the Memento Mori Sessions.
The vinyl package includes the live album and bonus tracks on four vinyl LPs, with album art featuring live photos from the shows. The CD package includes the live album and bonus tracks on two CDs, plus a 16 page booklet featuring live photos from the shows.
This live album is being released alongside Depeche Mode’s new film, Depeche Mode: M. Filmed at the Mexico City shows, and conceived and directed by award-winning Mexican filmmaker Fernando Frías, Depeche Mode: M blends concert footage with interpretive interstitials and archival material, delving into the profound connection between music, mortality, and Mexican tradition. The Blu-ray and DVD releases of Depeche Mode: M also include the above Memento Mori: Mexico City live album, as well as an accompanying full-length concert film.
