Britain's Laura Mvula is a soulful vocalist known for her inventive, atmospheric mix of R&B, jazz, classical, and pop. She broke out in 2013 with Sing to the Moon, her critically acclaimed, Mercury Prize-nominated debut album. Her 2016 follow-up, The Dreaming Room, fared even better with fans and critics alike, and she soon branched out into theatre and soundtrack work. Increased activity in 2021, beginning with an EP of alternate versions and continuing with a series of bright and artful pop-driven singles, led to her third album Pink Noise.
