March Violets, The Vinyl Records
The March Violets were a British post-punk/gothic rock band formed in Leeds in 1981. Part of the early 1980s goth scene alongside acts linked to the city’s underground movement, they became known for dual male-female vocals, drum machine rhythms, and releases on the Merciful Release label. Their best-known material includes singles such as “Snake Dance” and the album Botanic Verses (1993).
