The Metallica remaster collection continues with the 5x-platinum Load, available everywhere on June 13th.
Produced by Bob Rock, Load is the follow-up to Metallica, the best-selling album of the Soundscan era. Load contains fan favourites including “Until It Sleeps,” “Hero of the Day,” and “King Nothing,” and for the first time ever, the original extended version of “The Outlaw Torn” that was originally edited due to manufacturing limits. Remastered by Reuben Cohen at Lurssen Mastering, overseen by executive producer Greg Fidelman, and vinyl lacquers cut by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering.
Remastered edition of Load on double-LP 180-gram vinyl in a gatefold jacket and two printed inserts.
Remastered CD of Load has a newly packaged wallet with a printed inner sleeve and booklet.
The 3CD Expanded Edition includes 41 tracks across 3 CDs of the newly remastered album, previously unreleased, demos, rough mixes, & live tracks from their worldwide tour. The CDs are housed in a digipak with an embossed cover and includes a 36-page booklet.
With 301 total tracks (245 unreleased) and weighing in at over ten pounds, the limited edition deluxe numbered box set of Load (Remastered) includes the album remastered on 180-gram double LP and CD, Mama Said picture disc, three live LPs, 15 CDs and four DVDs featuring unreleased content (live shows, rough mixes, demos, etc), MP3 download card of all audio, two tour laminates, a Lollapalooza poster, a Pushead patch, a Rolling Stone print, guitar/bass picks, a pack of 14 Rorschach Test cards, lyric folder and sheets, and a 128-page hardcover book with never-before-seen photos + stories from those who were there.
