Tonight’s The Night

In 1975, Neil Young released Tonight’s The Night, an album that is widely regarded as one of the masterpieces in his catalogue. The album was recorded in 1973, following the major success of his album Harvest, but it was not released for two more years. The album is dedicated to two of Neil’s close friends, Danny Whitten and Bruce Berry, who both died in the year before this album was recorded.

Recorded on analogue tape, Tonight’s The Night includes some of Young’s most brilliant and emotionally moving songs. In addition to the two versions of the title track, the album features “Borrowed Tune”, “World on a String”, “Mellow My Mind”, “Tired Eyes”, “Come On Baby Let’s Go Downtown”, “Albuquerque” and “Roll Another Number (For The Road)”.

Following last year’s 50th anniversary reissue, Reprise Records will make standard 1CD and 1LP formats available again from 4th September.
