The new recording and touring project by Andris Nelsons, the Gewandhausorchester and the Boston Symphony Orchestra is a ‘Strauss Alliance’ – a musical coming together of superlatives that will see them embark on an extensive international tour in April and May 2022. Featuring Yuja Wang and Yo-Yo Ma as soloists. Each orchestra contributes with three albums and, as a premiere, on CD 7 they are also heard together in a recording of the Festliches Präludium (Festive Prelude).
