The Beatles’ sixth album, Rubber Soul, originally released on December 3rd, 1965, has been newly mixed by producer Giles Martin and Sam Okell. Sourced directly from the original four-track master tapes, the audio is presented with remarkable clarity across the range, with the Blu-ray edition also featuring Dolby Atmos and high-resolution stereo mixes, plus videos for the singles ‘Day Tripper’ and ‘We Can Work It Out’.
The 1LP edition includes the new stereo mix on 180g heavyweight black half-speed mastered vinyl, housed in a poly-lined bag and spined sleeve, while the 1CD edition includes the new stereo mix with a 20-page booklet housed in a gatefold digisleeve.
The Special Edition Deluxe 2LP and 2CD feature the new mix, plus a 16-track disc of highlights from the album Sessions that includes early versions of songs that deepen and expand the story of the album, as well as the non-album single, ‘Day Tripper’ and ‘We Can Work It Out’. The 2LP is half-speed mastered and pressed on 180g heavyweight black vinyl with a 4-page insert in a gatefold sleeve, while the 2CD includes a 40-page booklet with detailed information and rare photos.
The 5LP + 7″ Single Special Edition Super Deluxe Box Set includes the new half-speed mastered stereo mix, the 26-track collection of Sessions recordings that includes early versions of songs that deepen and expand the story of the album across two half-speed mastered LPs, the original mono album, the original Capitol US album, and a 7″ of the non-album single. Each LP is pressed on 180g heavyweight black vinyl, inside poly-lined inner sleeves within individual album sleeves, alongside an 88-page hardback book with a John Lennon foreword, introduction by Paul McCartney, photos, in-depth album background and track notes, all housed in a 12″ slipcase.
